Business Development Director – Agency
Our client is a leadingCommunication, brand strategy and creative agency who can boast a proud list of major UK and international clients.
We are looking to recruit a highly intelligent, experienced candidate who has a proven track record in both client development and new client acquisition. They will be able to make intelligent use of the resources available in the agency. They will have a substantial working knowledge of Brand Strategy alongside a working knowledge of marketing and communication. We are looking for someone who has experience in B2B, preferably with knowledge of B2C and FMCG brands in addition.
The successful candidate will possess passion for all aspects of brand strategy, with working experience of project management and marketing. The client base ranges across Retail, B2B, FMCG, and many others. The applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside design and brand strategy professionals in the Manchester office with a hands on team, but part of a bigger international entity.

Based in Central London this role will be charged with leading the organisations charge into new and developing markets, specifically within the security and environmental markets.

About the Role
We are looking for a Consumer Insight Director to work within the Retail team on one of the big 4' supermarket brands. This role is very client facing and gives you the opportunity to continue to develop a successful relationship with one of our biggest clients. We'll need you to respond to client briefs with leading insight and deliver creative presentations. You will also have responsibility of managing a team and supporting their career development.
This role is perfect for a curious person who is interested in learning more about the Retail market. It's also a great opportunity to get involved with service improvements and developments in Retail, as well as working with different panels (usage, beauty and purchase data). In addition, there will be opportunities to build your commercial experience, whilst working with both retail and manufacturing clients, in a fun, friendly and supportive team.
What We're Looking For
- FMCG or Retail experience
- Previous experience working in a market research agency with continuous panels is preferable
- Experience of planning for and implementing the commercial direction of a portfolio of client accounts
- Proven experience of managing a team and projects to achieve and grow account revenue
- Experience of developing and delivering effective presentations
- Ability to demonstrate credibility and gravitas to senior people from the outset
- The ability to challenge clients, share our capabilities and present insight
