Marketing Director (Biotechnology, Life Sciences) Our client is an international biotechnology company leading the way in medical diagnostics and growing at a fast pace. Since October 1st, 2009 they belong to a US-Company with a turnover exceeding 10 Billion USD. Their goal is to successfully position innovative products and solutions in established and new markets. They are now looking for a marketing director to be responsible for the development and implementation of their marketing strategy in the UK and for conducting international market development projects. Position: Director of Marketing Location: Cambridge ROLE: You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the relevant submarkets and analyze business-relevant aspects of diagnostics and therapy in the UK. As an active bridge builder you will share your knowledge with other functions in the organization on a regional and global level. Your tasks include a continuous monitoring of market developments and analyzing their economic impact on their own product success. By developing target group specific marketing concepts and establishing contacts with health care system bodies you can involve your wide experience in the IVD market. They are looking for creative networkers with medical background who seek to work at the forefront of innovation and who care about the benefits that their products and solutions can offer for the immediate treatment of patients. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) University degree in life sciences and/or in business administration or several years of industry experiences with a track record in sales and marketing possibly achieved in different segments of the health care business. b) Experience in project management, contract negotiations and planning. c) Experience in marketing planning and implementation. d) Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written). e) Analytical and problem solving abilities as well as creativity and initiative. f) Highly motivated team member with abilities to lead.
